Crock-Pot Honey Sesame Chicken

An easy chicken recipe to make in the slow cooker. Chicken comes out tender and tasty. Chicken is one of the easiest items to cook in a slow cooker. The chicken comes out tasting very tasty and moist. You can serve it whole, sliced, shredded or cubed.

This Crock-Pot Honey Sesame Chicken is easy to make. My kids actually liked it!! They tend to be very picky.

What to serve it with?

  • white or wild rice
  • egg noodles
  • mashed potatoes
  • sliced and in a salad!

Storing after cooked

Any leftovers need to be store in an air tight container (plastic or ziploc) in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. This can also be frozen for up to 3 months.

Ingredients
  

  • 4-6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 small Yellow Onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds

Instructions
 

  • Add the chicken to a 4 qt or 5 qt slow cooker.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix the onion, garlic, honey, ketchup, soy sauce, vegetable oil and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Pour the liquid over the top of the chicken.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken, slice the chicken or use a fork to shred.
  • Put the chicken back into the sauce. Serve over rice and sprinkle the sesame seeds over the top.
