Crock-Pot Lil’ Smokies
My family loves these little sausage in the slow cooker. 3 ingredients in this dump and go appetizer makes it an easy and tasty one that everyone will love. Now my kids request these for their friends. Each year, we have a kid New Year’s Eve Party. I always make a double batch of these for the kids to eat during the night.
Growing up, I loved going to family parties. Someone always would bring a slow cooker full of these little tiny sausages covered in this tart but sweet sauce. I could never get enough of these little sausages! Once I had kids, I had to make these for family functions. My kids now were the ones that could not wait to get these in a bowl and eat them up.
Preparing the Crock-Pot Lil Smokies
Grab your refrigerated Lil Smokies (sold in the refrigerated meat section near the hot dogs), jelly and chili sauce (found with the ketchup’s and such in the grocery store). Add the smokies first, then dump the jelly and chili sauce in the slow cooker. Cover and cook!
Serve with toothpicks or use a slotted spoon to serve. I always make a double batch so there is plenty to go around.
