Crock-Pot Pulled Pork

Pulled Pork Sandwiches are easy to make in the slow cooker. And they are a hit with the family and friends! They also are delicious and melt in your mouth.

I find that pork shoulder is best when cooked slow and low in the slow cooker. The meat comes out tender and juicy and literally falling off the fork. You could use bone-in or no bone just make sure you remove the bones before shredding the pork.

Add your ingredients and put the lid on the slow cooker. I prefer to start my Pulled Pork meat in the morning and by dinner it is ready to put on buns. Serve straight from the slow cooker with a couple different types of BBQ sauce to top off the meat.

You can also make your own Barbecue sauce to serve along with the Crock-Pot  Pulled Pork. Barbecue sauce is easy to make and tastes great.

Homemade Version of Barbecue Sauce

  • 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Hot Pepper Sauce

Instructions: combine all the ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth.

I keep my homemade BBQ sauce in a canning jar with a lid. A good shake before using helps keep the sauce mixed.
