Crock-Pot Queso Sausage Dip
I believe that slow cookers were made for making dips. Add the ingredients to the slow cooker and heat for 2 hours and have a tasty and delicious dip that you can serve with tortilla chips, corn chips, slices of bread or even veggie slices.
Probably one of the most popular main ingredients in these types of dips is cream cheese. Cream cheese melts evenly in a slow cooker. I can honestly say I have cooked 100+ different dips in a slow cooker and those that have cream cheese have never burnt. And, cream cheese adds that “creaminess” that you want in a good chip dipping dip.
This is my “go to” dip if I am craving a good cream cheese dip. I buy the meat counter pork sausage and brown that on the stove top. Make sure to drain any drippings otherwise you have a greasy dip that really does not taste good. Add the ingredients to the slow cooker and allow the cooker to do the rest of the work.
This recipe does double nicely. If you have any leftovers, refrigerated up to 5 days. They also reheat nicely in a microwave.
