Crock-Pot Pork Chops with Mushroms

Busy working all day and need a good meal for dinner for the family? Using your slow cooker to make pork chops for dinner is a great option. Cooked right, pork chops come out moist and delicious and with the different number of recipes available, you can have a different meal every time.

I am not picky on if I use bone-in or boneless pork chops. I think they are both equally good and really it depends on the price, what I purchase. Bone-in do take a little longer to cook where boneless chops take less time to cook. Choose based on how much time you need it to cook. I know if I know I have a late day after work, I use the bone-in chops so my end meal is not too dry.

Keep your eye on sale for pork loins. I can find them locally for $1.19 a pound and sometimes even $.99 a pound. It is easy to purchase a full loin and then have the butcher slice the loin into boneless chops for me. I freeze the chops in packages of 4 when I get home to make future dinners easy for me.

I used fresh button mushrooms for this recipe. You could use canned mushrooms if that is easier for you. The recipe will still turn out delicious. If you like more mushrooms and onions, add in more.
