Crock-Pot Cabbage Roll Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Pound Extra Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Medium Yellow Onion Diced
  • 2 Teaspoons Minced Garlic
  • 5 Cups Green Cabbage coarseley chopped and stems removed
  • 5 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 24 oz Tomato Juice
  • 1/2 Cup Uncooked Long Grain White Rice
  • 1 Whole Bay Leaf
  • 3 Tablespoons Light or Dark Brown Sugar packed

Instructions
 

  • On the stove top, brown the ground beef, garlic and onion until the ground beef is cooked and the onions are translucent. Drain any drippings.
  • Add the ground beef and remaining ingredients to a 5 qt or 6 qt slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours.
  • Remove the bay leaf and serve.
