Crock-Pot Apple Pudding Cake
Fresh apples help make up this delicious and homemade desert made in the casserole slow cooker. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Cake Batter
- 2 Cups all purpose flour
- 2/3 Cup Granulated White Sugar
- 3 Teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 Cup Milk
Apples
- 4 Medium Gala Apples cored, peeled and diced
Pudding
- 1 1/2 Cup Orange Juice about 6 oranges squeezed
- 1/2 Cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter melted
- 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt for the batter. Slowly cut in the butter until crumbs form. then mix in the milk to form the batter.
Grease the bottom and sides of a 4 qt or 5 qt slow cooker.
Add the batter to the bottom of the slow cooker spreading it evenly.
Prepare the apples (core, peel and dice). Add the apples to the top of the batter.
In a small bowl, whisk the ingredients for the pudding. Pour this liquid over the top of the apples.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 hours or until the apples are tender and the batter is cooked.
Serve warm in spoonfuls.
