Crock-Pot Basic White Rice
Anyone can make rice on the stove. But sometimes, using a stove just is not possible. But, making rice in the slow cooker is possible and the end result is fluffy white rice ready to eat.
The secret to making rice is rinsing it first. I like to rinse my rice twice in tap water. I had a good friend tell me this years ago. She makes rice every couple of days as it is a staple in her house. Rinse the rice and never remove the lid until it is done cooking those are two important cooking tips.
Rice is a good addition to most meals. I try and make a big batch, and store the leftovers in the refrigerator. Leftover rice reheats nicely and I can add some leftover veggies to the top and have a nice work lunch. It makes me feel like I am eating healthy. And it is something I can toss and go quickly.
